36 week Picture, Doc Appt., and No Video Blog....

So Im 36 weeks and 4 almost 5 days pregnant! Wow, it really is getting so close; I can't believe our daughter will be here within 3 weeks.  I am feeling so many different emotions that I can't even begin to explain.

Since I am now on weekly doctors visits, I was at the doctors yet again today. Everything is right on schedule and going great.  Im still 60% effaced (I really don't care for that word) and Savannah has dropped lower since last week.  My little girl is getting into position, and boy can I feel it!  She is putting a lot of pressure on, well, everything.  Just a few more weeks though...

I decided not to do a video this week since there's not much to report.  I'll probably do one this weekend.

Today I surprised my hubby at work and we had lunch together,  I got to meet some of the ladies in the office who are also patiently awaiting Savannah's arrival.  C'mon baby girl, we got a lot people waiting to see your pretty little face :)

Later, we had a little fun with the camera....

Otis has taken over!

So our two current children, who are of the same breed, couldn't be anymore different.  Otis likes to be in the middle of everything, he has to sniff everything that comes into the house and be in the middle of everything.  He truly believes that this is his house and we are just visitors.  Now, Lola on the other hand would just prefer for life to consist of two people; her and her daddy.  She's not really concerned with anything else that goes on in the house, 99% of anything makes her very nervous. She prefers to just hang out on top of the couch, bark at every little thing she sees outside and hang with her daddy.  Who can blame her though...

So here are our two very opposite children...

Seriously, can you get much cuter than that? Now, the only other thing that
would have made OT  happier would be me in the crib with him.

Typical Lola, we did get her to come into the baby's room, however you can tell by the look on her face she's not really feeling it.  Putting her in the crib was a no-no.  Baby steps with her!

Changing Table is Done!

Shane finished the changing the table, and it's perfect! I love it,  it's definitely heavy duty so there are no worries of it falling apart or not being sturdy enough.  Plus it gives me an extra drawer for storage and an extra shelf for, well, extras.  You did a great job babe, Savannah will be very proud of her daddy!

Finished!

Maddie Lost her First Tooth!

My sister sent me this picture last night....

It brought tears to my eyes to see my niece losing her first tooth and Aunt Candi isnt there to celebrate with her.  You can tell by this picture how proud she is that she has offically lost her first tooth! What a big moment!  The first words out of my sisters mouth when I called were "You're just having your baby and mine is growing up!!" Boy is goes by so fast, you really do have to enjoy every minute with them because before you know it they are losing their first tooth!

Well my pookie pie (my nick name for maddie) heres to you and losing your first tooth, I sure hope the tooth fairy was good to you!  I love you so much, and I think about you every day.  Hopefully you will be back down to Florida soon to meet your cousin, I can't wait to see you my sweet girl.

Its Spring Cleaning Day! (and I'm 35 weeks!)

Shane and I are in the middle of doing some spring cleaning at the ole' household today (Im just  taking a little break) Just when you think your house is pretty clean, you start looking in the corners and crevices and find all kinds of interesting things.  I hate to think of bringing Savannah into a house that isnt clean top to bottom; so were working hard and doing all of our deep cleaning this weekend.  Is this what they call nesting?  Either way, Im glad we're doing it.  We've got the kitchen and bathrooms all done, then tomorrow will be the living room including steam cleaning the furniture and rugs.  I'll work on our bedroom and guest room tomorrow also.  So lets just hope she comes within the next few weeks so the house will still be freshly cleaned :)

Shane has just about finished the changing table so I'll post some pictures of that soon.  We're also almost finished with the nursery which I'll post pictures and do my video next week.

So its a beautiful weekend and were just cleaning and shopping and finishing up last minute baby prep; our little girl could be here any time!

3/12/11 Baby Shower!

Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate my baby shower.  It was a great day filled with friends, family, food and of course a lot of wonderful gifts.  From strollers & car seats to diapers and diaper bags, plenty of adorable outfits with sunglasses to match; Savannah will certainly be a catch!
Even though it was hard not having my sister there, her spirit certainly was! She made sure that we had plenty of great decorations, games and a delicious cake.  I loved how it said "Goodbye Tummy, Hello Savannah"!   A huge thank you to SIL Brenda for all the hard work you put into those handmade decorations and gift bags.  They were amazing, you definitely have a talent for being creative.  I made sure to save a little bit of everything you did; the garland, gift bags and Savannah's name, will all be incorporated in her room one way or another.

So thank you again to everyone, Shane, Savannah and I are very lucky to have such great people in our lives...

34 weeks and A Not So Great Week

I believe I had made the comment in last week's video that "Im trying to stay positive" , "I swear I am" but after this week, Im truly being tested. Started out with a horrible cold that had me in bed for almost two days, then I woke up this morning with the worst pain down my left hip that left me unable to walk. Thennnn, I find out that my sister (who has planned my shower for the past 2 1/2 months) won't be there, which means my niece wont be there either. I was so bummed. So as of now, the cold is still lingering, Im walking like a 90 year old (due to my sciatic nerve) and I wont be seeing my sister until who knows when.

But I digress; Im still trying (my hardest) to be positive. The baby shower is tomorrow and Im looking forward to seeing everyone, even if I am in a wheelchair. ;)

(We didn't get a picture on Friday but here I am right before the Baby Shower)

33 Weeks! Part 1

33 Weeks!! Part 2

Childbirth Prep Class

Class was little long but went really well.  It was very informative and I feel a little more at ease about going to the hospital on the big day.  I recommend it to all first time moms and dads.

* Im not feeling too good this morning so I'll write more about it later...

33 Weeks!!

Wow, the countdown is really on now! Im excited, anxious, nervous, and even more excited all rolled into one. Thoughts of labor (and pain) has really been on my mind lately. Im worried about where it is going to happen and how quickly I will feel pain. I don't want to be in pain until Im strapped in a hospital bed with the best drugs Blue Cross & Blue Shield can buy in the vicinity!

We're making great progess on Savannah's nursery so I can't wait to do my video where I show you everything completed.

Tomorrow is Childbirth prep class from 9-3, ugh. Im glad we're doing the class but all day, jeesh! We'll get to tour the hospital, which is nice and I'm sure at multiple times throughout the day, I'll have the bejesus scared out of me. Sounds like great fun.

Im still growing growing and growing some more, Savannah never stops moving and I don't think Ive had a good nights sleep in approximately 32 1/2 days. Thats ok, this is good preparation for the days to come, right?

Here I am this morning; is it really possible for this belly to get any bigger??
