"Savannah Smiles"

So the letters I ordered came in this week and Shane and I finally decided on a color to paint them.  Or should I say spray paint them...

It turned out really cute, and she certainly will not forget her name :) I don't think you can tell from the pictures but there are little ladybugs on each letter. Never mind, we were in the middle of putting the ladybugs on when Shane took the pictures, so there's only a couple on.

Oh, I can't wait to see everything come together!

Could he be any cuter? Don't think so

Awwwww..... What do you guys think?

Do you remember this movie?

My sister and I loved this movie when we were younger; turns out so did Shane! This little girl was just about as cute as could be and was the inspiration behind us naming our daughter Savannah.

1/21/11 Family time after the ultrasound...

It was great having both Shane's parents and mine all together, we had a great time....

My Dad and I

Me and My Parents

Shane and his Mom

1/21/11 27 weeks, Baby Shower Plans, Shane's Scared and a 4D Ultrasound!

So I'm 27 weeks today! I can't believe my 2nd trimester is coming to an end and the 3rd is about to begin. In some ways its gone by fast and in other ways, not so much.  I had my gestational diabetes test last week which came back negative. My blood sugar was right where it should be.  Yay!

Savannah has really been moving so much, I'm starting to feel her much higher up and she's kicking much harder these days.  Im not complaining because I love feeling my little girl; to me, it's like we're bonding.  She kicks a little, then I have to give her a talking to, then she kicks again and I just laugh and Im sure she does too.  Haha...

So here I am this morning... 27 weeks!!! ( I just had to say it again)

My wonderful sister (who I miss dearly) has started planning the baby shower!! Whoo-hoo!! So exciting, the best part for me though will be seeing her and Maddie and all the rest of the family who I havent seen since Ive been pregnant.  Oh how Ive missed them throughout this experience.  So the plans are in full effect and Im sure it will be great! Shane and I started our registry last night at Target, thats always fun. We had fun doing it for our wedding last year.  I must say Im such a nice wife because I let HIM have control of the scanner gun the entire time!

Here we are on our way to Target...

Earlier this week Shane filled out the paperwork for his exam and wrote the FINAL check (the last of many), here he is looking, well, a little scared...

He's so funny!

And at 4:00 today we are all going to have a 4D ultrasound! Shanes parents and my parents are all going, so that will be fun. I can't wait to see her sweet little face.  We werrnt sure if we were going to do it or not but in the end decided that we wanted to take full advantage of every experience this pregnancy has to offer :)

4d Picture to come... :)  Well the 4d didn't go exactly as planned.  She wasn't in the right position to get a clear picture of her pretty little face.  We could definitely see her but it was very "cloudy".  Now if only her face was where her feet were, it would have been perfect.  Her feet were in just the right "bubble" of clearness...thats not the right word but you know what Im saying.  The tech tried for about 10 minutes and didn't charge us,  but she did give us a few pictures....

That's her arm in front of her face, look closely, you can see her  eyes nose and mouth.

And here's her little feets

1/16/11 You Can Do It Babe!!

Shane started contractors school on Friday, this is something we have talked about for awhile and finally were able to do it.  I know this is what Shane truly enjoys doing and wants to make a life for us by eventually having his own construction company.  The courses are about a month long, on Saturdays and Sundays.  Then he will take the big exam in March.  I know he can do this, he is so smart and he knows construction.  So I think he's going to do great.  Savannah and I (and OT and lola) are so proud of him already :)

Here's what I came home to the other night...

OT hasn't made an appearance on the blog in a while so here is taking a nap with me yesterday..
He's just so darn cute! (Lola likes to stay on the couch and keep watch while her daddy is out so I couldn't get a picture of her)

01/13/11 Dreams

The crazy dreams are in full effect... Last night I had a baby girl and her head was 3 x the size of her body, the scary part is that wasn't the worst of it

01/07/11 25 weeks and a Changing Table

Even though I see myself every day, its not until I look at the pictures where I'm like... oh my lord! Look at that belly! Theres really a baby in there! :)

Shane is about half way done with the changing table so I had to show it off, it looks awesome so far!

And look at this sky from last night!

01/04/11 Daddy Building Savannah's Changing Table

After we bought the dresser/changing table then added the hutch we realized it wasn't going to work out as a changing table anymore.  So Shane being the handy man that he is opted to build his daughter one instead of buying it; I loved the idea!  So here he is hard at work...

And here's his design....

Gotta love a man that can build!
