Since I'm home so much these day's, I'm constantly thinking of things we can change around the house. Shane and I have made quite a bit of changes in the time we've lived together such as.....all rooms have been painted, floors have been changed, chair rail and crown molding added. All thanks to my ever so handy man hubby. We put wallpaper in the kitchen and painted about 5-6 years ago and we went with dark colors. So I decided it was time for a "refresher". It needed to be brighter and cleaner looking. I was thinking bright greens and yellows with silver and white accents. I decided to go to Jo Ann's to pick out fabric for a new window valance and then would decide on paint colors from there. I found one I loved! And today we picked out paint and started painting. We originally were going to do green but decided on yellow. It's definitely a little brighter than I was thinking but it still looks nice. I helped with some of the painting but Shane did most of it. I was on baby duty. Here's some pics from the beginning of our project...
