Long Sunday

Where do I begin? Today has been a very full day.  First of all, I had a horrible nights sleep.  I woke up around 3 am and couldn't fall back asleep, don't you hate that?  I was so tired and knew little missy would be up in just a few hours but my mind was just going going going.  I swear I thought about every possible thing I could think about between the hours of 3 and 5 am.  Ugh.  Then like clock work Savannah was up at 7 and even though Shane got up with her, I couldn't sleep at that point.  But I digress.  After a little morning snuggle time with Savannah, we were back at the kitchen.  Painting and all that.  You think "oh we'll just paint the kitchen, it's not that big of a deal" Riiiight.  Not the case.  The yellow I picked and that Shane finished painting yesterday just wasnt working for me.  The more I looked at it the more I disliked it.  So we decided to take a break, have some lunch and for some odd reason we headed for the ...wait for it..........The Shell Factory.  Yes, my friends the good ole Shell Factory.  Talk about walking into a time warp.  The last I was there was probably 20 years ago and I don' t think a thing has changed! I must say it was actually kinda neat...kinda.  It was just what we were looking for though, something to do today where it didn't cost a lot of money (this was free, even better) and Savannah would have a lot to look at.  She didn't care that nothing had been updated in there since 1975.  It was all new to her.

So then we headed home and decided to add a little white paint to original yellow, to lighten it up,  and I (yes, me) painted the entire wall all over again.  While I did that, Shane took little miss over to his parents for a short visit so I could finish up.  I like the new yellow much better, BUT now the back wall which we painted white, isn't making me happy.  It needs something, it looks unfinished to me, so I'll head back to Lowe's tomorrow and pick out something. So after finishing the wall, I scrubbed down the bakers rack, the table, the floors and put everything back where it was.  Now it's 7:30,  Savannah has been put to bed and we're just hanging out watching a little tv and having some pizza.  So yes, like I said, Loooong Sunday.

Hello, Shell Factory!
These were real! Dead but real.
Checking out the "dead but real" alligators
She really didn't want these on her face
Driving already
And, the kitchen.  Almost finished.
